Portable Travel Alarm Clocks

When traveling, its important to make sure you don’t miss your plan, train, meeting, etc. Most hotels have wakeup calls, but who can be sure they will remember to wake you up. Though you are on vacation to relax and not think about the time, its nice to have a little reminder that will make sure you are alerted.
Travel Alarm Clock Options
Cell Phone – One of the easiest ways to be alerted, woken up, or simply reminded is through a cell phone. Most cell phones keep time and have an alarm clock of a substantial noise level. Even though your phone might not work in the area you are traveling in, most still keep the time even when out of range of a cell phone tower.
Battery Powered Clock – Small portable alarm clocks can be powered by a single AAA battery and stay powered for up to 2 years without replacement. A basic portable battery powered clock can cost as little as $10. The Eagle Creek Quick View Travel Clock cost $9.99 and only shows the time, but the alarm setting is there, and promises to be loud enough to wake you up. On the more expensive side are Atomic powered Clocks which automatically update the time to the exact time. (See video below).
Battery Power Watch – A watch may be your best option to keep track of time. When traveling, I would not recommend bringing your best watch; rather purchase a cheap $5 watch from any local store. This way if your watch gets stolen it hasn’t been much of a loss. The A158W-1 Mens Stainless Steel Watch by Casio, looks sharp and only costs $12.

I generally use my cell phone, but the key is to make sure your battery is fully charged. Otherwise, you won't have an alarm or any way to be awoken by someone else with a phone call.
